Who We Are

 Krupa Patel is a compassionate educational consultant and coach, with a deep-seated commitment to empowering educators to fulfil their greater purpose. As the Director of Education at GETT, Krupa brings a wealth of experience in implementing innovative educational strategies, including project-based curricula and restorative practices. Her evidence-based approaches have led to significant improvements in educational environments, including an 83% reduction in behaviour issues. Krupa's role involves blending international experiential learning with strategic implementation, ensuring impactful outcomes. She holds multiple qualifications, including a B.Sc. in Human Biology, an MA in Leadership in Education, and the NPQEL for Executive Leadership. 

Fun Fact: Krupa believes in the power of community and often says, “It takes a village.” She is humbled to connect learning communities worldwide through her work at GETT. 

 Aisha Hussain Mohamed is a Maldivian professional with a rich background in Human Resource Management, Marketing, Training, and Career Guidance. Her career spans over a decade in the Maldives, where she has worked across industries like Telecommunications, Aviation, and Insurance. Since 2017, Aisha has been dedicated to the education sector, serving as a teacher, trainer, and career guidance counsellor. Currently pursuing an MA in Career Guidance at Nottingham Trent University, Aisha is focused on bridging the gap between the labour market and education, leveraging her corporate experience to support students in achieving their career goals. 

Fun Fact: Aisha loves exploring different cuisines and is an adventurous foodie. She enjoys trying out new recipes from around the world, often recreating dishes she’s encountered during her travels. 

Steve Parratt joins GETT as a Finance Consultant, bringing with him a wealth of experience and a track record of success in financial management. With over 15 years as a Business Controller at Elekta, Steve has honed his skills in integrating operational and financial objectives to deliver strategic insights and pioneering solutions. His work in developing advanced BI tools has revolutionised global service operations and significantly enhanced efficiency and outcomes.

At Elekta, Steve was instrumental in driving change management strategies, partnering with IT, and engaging with stakeholders to improve business processes and employee engagement. His approach to identifying key business challenges and trends, devising solutions, and implementing corrective actions has consistently led to measurable improvements.

Before Elekta, Steve held various roles, including Financial Controller at Whirlpool Corporation and Senior Financial Analyst positions, where he excelled in financial controls, strategic support, and business partner management.

Steve’s commitment to excellence in financial management and his proactive approach to problem-solving make him a valuable asset to the GETT team.

Fun Fact: Steve, now in his fifties, was assessed by the same Sports Science organisation that evaluated former Prime Minister Boris Johnson and was found to have the fitness level of a teenager. Clearly, Steve brings the same energy and resilience to both his personal life and his work at GETT!

 Abiola Adagun brings over 22 years of dedicated experience in the social housing sector to her role as the Global Events and Travel Manager at Global Educational Travel and Tours (GETT). With a strong foundation in managing people, resources, and projects, Abiola has honed exceptional organisational skills and an empathetic approach to client needs. Her extensive background in community dynamics has given her a deep understanding of how to create and deliver services that truly resonate with individuals and communities alike.

Transitioning into the world of travel and events, Abiola combines her rich professional experience with a lifelong passion for exploration and connecting with people from diverse cultures. She thrives on crafting memorable experiences, ensuring every detail is meticulously planned and executed to perfection. Whether it's coordinating a seamless tour, managing a complex event, or arranging comfortable and welcoming accommodations, Abiola's approach is always marked by enthusiasm, professionalism, and a deep commitment to excellence.

This department ensures that all our international learning experiences are supported by a trauma-informed approach, creating a safe, sensitive and supportive environment for everyone involved. Our qualified and experienced team, led by one of two of our Deputy CEOs, develops and implements wellness programs tailored to the unique needs of our tour clients, integrating trauma-informed practices into every aspect of our services. By prioritising well-being, we enhance the overall experience of our participants, ensuring that each journey with GETT is not only enriching and educational but also nurturing and empowering.

 Fun Fact: Our Well-being and Trauma-Informed Care Lead loves to share her favourite quote by Frederick Douglass: "It’s easier to build strong children than to repair broken adults." This powerful motto perfectly captures the team's mission at GETT—to foster resilience and empowerment in individuals through proactive care and support, making each journey with us a transformative experience! 

Shani Wijemuni joins GETT as our Policy Officer, bringing with her a Master’s degree in International Public

Policy from Queen Mary University of London (QMUL). Shani is skilled in policy analysis, strategic planning, and

stakeholder engagement, with a strong commitment to improving educational outcomes and career

opportunities for students. Her role at GETT involves collaborating with diverse stakeholders, conducting

research, and developing innovative solutions to educational challenges. Shani is eager to apply her expertise

in public policy to drive impactful change within the educational landscape.

Fun Fact: Shani is a keen amateur photographer with a particular love for capturing candid moments in nature.

She finds that photography allows her to see the world from different perspectives, much like her work in policy

analysis.

Bioluwatife is an experienced website designer with over two years of work focused on creating digital experiences that combine creativity with practical functionality. She is committed to helping businesses improve their online presence while aligning with their specific goals and brand identity. Her skill set covers a broad range of areas:

Fun Fact: In addition to her work in web design, Bioluwatife is a passionate network marketer in her late 20s. She is focused on promoting high-quality nutritional supplements while empowering others to achieve financial freedom through passive income streams.

 Ruth McAteer is a dedicated advocate for inclusion and diversity within the international education sector. With a background in Events Management, Finance, Higher Education, and Career Guidance, Ruth brings a unique perspective to her role as the EDIB Specialist at GETT. As someone who identifies as Deaf, Ruth is passionate about raising awareness of the incredible skills that minority groups bring to the workplace. Her extensive experience in attending educational tours worldwide positions her as an invaluable resource in ensuring that GETT’s initiatives are inclusive and accessible. Ruth is excited to contribute her insights to make every tour a meaningful and inclusive experience for all participants.

 Fun Fact: Ruth is an avid traveller and has a goal to visit every University site in this wonderful global world we live. She believes that each site offers a unique story and perspective, which fuels her passion for global learning and inclusion. 

With over 15 years of hands-on experience in the IT industry, Niyi Adebanjo is a seasoned Network Architect and Engineer who brings a wealth of expertise to GETT. Niyi has a strong background in Cisco routing and switching, security implementation, and network troubleshooting. His extensive experience includes specialisation in WAN/LAN routing, VPNs, wireless networks, and advanced security systems.

Niyi's technical acumen is matched by his commitment to excellence in every project he undertakes, whether managing complex network infrastructures or implementing cutting-edge security protocols. His deep understanding of network systems ensures that GETT operates on a robust and secure IT foundation.

Fun Fact: Niyi is an avid Formula 1 enthusiast, always keeping up with the latest races and innovations in the sport. Just like in his IT career, he enjoys the thrill of precision, speed, and strategy that Formula 1 offers!
